The air fryer version of the famous Sacher tort is a lighter and faster variant to prepare, while retaining its unmistakable taste. Sacher is delicious in itself thanks to the perfect combination of chocolate and apricot jam. It can be further enhanced with a generous portion of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Thus, even in a lighter version, this traditional dessert remains an irresistible option to end a meal on a high note or for a sweet afternoon break.
This baking method not only ensures a light and healthy result, but also faster preparation than traditional techniques. Thanks to the air fryer, Sacher cake will retain its famous texture and irresistible taste, allowing you to enjoy an iconic dessert in an even more convenient and healthy way.
Preparation

Prepare the chocolate
In a bowl beat the sugar with the eggs with an electric whisk, then when the mixture is frothy enough (beat at least 5 minutes) add, still beating, the chocolate melted in a bain-marie (temperature around 50°), the cream and slowly the sifted flour. Last, the baking powder.

Cook the mixture in the air fryer
Once ready pour all the mixture into the previously buttered baking pan and bake at 160° for 20 to 25 minutes. To know if the base is cooked, pierce it with a toothpick in the middle; if the toothpick comes out dry, the base is ready!

Make the icing for the Sachertorte
With the remaining chocolate make the frosting by melting it in a bain-marie and gently uneld it to the cream.

Fill the cake
Once cold, cut the base/cake in half horizontally and spread apricot jam on the base, close with the top and finish the cake by pouring the chocolate frosting, helping with a spoon to distribute it evenly.

Before serving
Keep in the refrigerator at least an hour to get a perfect frosting
