Chiacchiere are delicately crispy on the outside, crumbly and light on the inside. Thanks to the wafer-thin dough, sweet and crisp layers are created, and the air fryer ensures an uniform baking. The crispness of the dough blends with a layer of powdered sugar that adheres gently, offering a pleasant combination of sweetness and lightness. Thanks to cooking in the air fryer, it is possible to enjoy them in a lighter way, without the excess oil typical of traditional frying. This allows you to fully appreciate their delicate taste and crisp texture. Preparation

Prepare the ingredients

Beat the eggs with the sugar (if you don't own beat vigorously until the mixture to become frothy), then gradually add the flour, oil and the two tablespoons of rum and the zest of the orange. Last, add the sifted baking powder.

Roll out the dough

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin very thin; the thinner it is, the crispier the end result.

Cut the pastry

Using a starred pastry cutter, cut the pastry into rectangles and place them on a tray in the refrigerator for 30 minutes

Place the rectangles in the baskets

After lightly flouring the fryer basket, roll out the chiacchere separated from each other, gently oil them with small brushings or a few sprinkles of the oil of seeds and cook them 3-4 minutes 200° in air fryer to until golden brown

Serve with powdered sugar

When cooked, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
