Meatloaf,essentially an enlarged version of traditional meatballs, is usually molded into a tapered shape, which can range from rectangular to oval. We have prepared the discamorza and prosciutto-flavored version, a treat for the palate!

Preparation

Preheat the air fryer

Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F).

Prepare the mixture

In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, soaked and squeezed stale bread, grated Parmesan, eggs (add one at a time and evaluate the consistency of thecompound), chopped parsley, salt and pepper. Mix well until the mixture is smooth, not too soft.

Spread the mixture

Spread the meat mixture on a sheet of baking paper, forming a rectangle.

Fill the mixture

Arrange the ham and sliced scamorza or provolone on the surface of the meat,covering the center area evenly

Form the meatloaf roll

Roll the meatloaf starting from the longest side, making sure to seal the edges well. Brush the surface of the meatloaf with a little olive oil.

Cook in an air fryer

Transfer the meatloaf to the air fryer and bake for about 35 to 40 minutes at 180 degrees (ofuntil well cooked and golden). Check internal cooking with a meat thermometer, which should register at least 70°C
