Air-fried calamari rings are a delicious dish that can be served either as a main course or as an appetizer. Air frying enhances the sea flavor of the squid, ensuring a perfect crispiness without retaining too much oil, unlike traditional frying. A touch of freshly squeezed lemon adds a hint of freshness that cleanses and delights the palate.
Clean the squid under running water and, pulling from the head, scoop out all the insides of the entrails. Remove the latter with a knife, thus detaching them from the head, from which remove the part containing the eyes and central tooth. This will leave only the tentacles joined together by a small part of the remaining head. Go on to clean the body by making a slight vertical incision in the skin, which should then be slipped off so as to obtain a smooth, white surface
Serve them on a plate with paper towels and 4 lemon slices.
